Meet the Doctor Dr. Thein was born and raised in Burns, Oregon, graduating from Burns High School in 2011, where he excelled in both sports and academics. While playing baseball and football, Dr. Thein graduated valedictorian of his class and decided to continue his academic career at Linfield College. His passion for volunteer work grew at Linfield, where he spent two years leading a mentoring program for at-risk youth at two middle schools in the McMinnville community. Dr. Thein graduated with his B.S. in Biology in 2015 and decided to pursue his dental degree at Oregon Health and Science University School of Dentistry. During his time at OHSU, Dr. Thein continued to value leadership and community service, leading the community service committee of the local America Student Dental Association chapter, and being elected the Vice President for the Class of 2019. Dr. Thein remains involved in the dental community, graduating from the ODA Leadership Academy in 2021. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, Oregon Dental Association, and Central Oregon Dental Society. Dr. Thein continues to grow as a dentist attending continuing education courses across the country to enhance his skills as a clinician. In his free time. Dr. Thein has been exploring everything Central Oregon has to offer with his black lab Nina. Backpacking, hunting, fishing, snowboarding and traveling to new places are all passions of his. Dr. Thein looks forward to competing in more triathlons, finding the next great Central Oregon IPA, and becoming better connected to the community of Bend, Oregon. |
